Peace begins on our plate.
The story of a small, family-owned vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Garden Grove, and its belief that compassionate food can still taste like home.
It started as Inner Peace Café
Before we were Saigon Vegan, we were Inner Peace Café — a small vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Garden Grove built on one simple conviction: that the Vietnamese food we grew up with could be made entirely from plants, without losing an ounce of its soul.
In Vietnamese culture, "nhà hàng chay" isn't a trend — vegetarian cooking has deep roots in our traditions. We didn't invent anything new; we just brought it to McFadden Avenue, in the heart of Little Saigon.
Home-style, made to order
Our broths simmer slowly. Our vegan egg rolls are hand-rolled with taro and glass noodles. The garlic aioli people write reviews about? Made in-house. We cook the way it's done in a Vietnamese home kitchen — generously, patiently, and with everything made to order.
Vegan is woven into everything we make, from our vegan pho to our vegan bánh mì, but we don't lead with it. We lead with flavor. The rest speaks for itself.
A more compassionate world, one bowl at a time
Our mission is to serve delicious, 100% plant-based Vietnamese fusion food that contributes to a more compassionate world. That means the animals, of course. But it also means you — the Garden Grove neighbor who walks in on a bad day and leaves warmer than they came.
Peace begins on our plate. We'd love to set one in front of you.
"Been vegan for 10+ years and this is one of the best noodle soups I have had. Everything felt cooked with love."
